This bowl is made from Spalted Maple. Spalt is caused by the wood dying and as it does it shoots out the black lines and markings you see in this bowl. It also has interesting colors that compliment the bowl. This makes it really interesting and pretty. It has a small scoop on the edge of the bowl that is perfect for laying a utensil on. The Bowl is 8 1/2" Wide, 3" High and 2 1/4' Deep.
We can personalize any bowl for you. For example, if it is for a Wedding Present, we often wood burn the couple's names and Wedding Date on the bottom of the bowl.
