This is a very nice Yellow Birch Bowl, with nice grain patterns in the wood. There are some light streaks in the bowl and that is mother nature causing them. It also has some darker lines and designs in the bowl, especially on the outside of the bowl. This is called Spalted grain. It is what happens as the tree dies and really adds a unique touch to the Bowl. This is a larger Bowl and the dimensions are 11 1/2" Wide, 4 3/4" High and 4" Deep. Size may vary +/-1/4". This bowl would make an awesome larger Salad Bowl.
